There aren't many places in Europe where you can easily go for spotting in November. However, having spent few days in southern France with my family, on my way back home, I was lucky enough to catch a few rays of the sun while driving neat Barcelona el Prat airport. This time I got dropped off by the observation platform (spotter point #1 at spotterguide.net) where I stayed for ca. two hours in the afternoon.

It is not surprising that the traffic was predominated by different aircraft of the Airbus A320 family as it's the working horse of locally based Spanish low cost carrier Vueling. However, also other airlines operate to LEBL mainly with their Airbus equipment. Thus, during two hours I got a quite nice collection of the most popular narrowbodies produced by the leading European aircraft producer. My favorite one was the A220 (all right - it's not quite an Airbus, as its roots come over from Canada) wearing the CSA Czech Airlines livery, but already operated by Smartwings. The stream of approaching Airbuses was rarely interrupted by Ryanair Boeing 737s, however I also caught a good old B737-400 operated by Air Horizont.
