Konnichiwa Haneda

I was thinking about spotting at Haneda airport for quite a few years. However, so far, while visiting Tokyo, I didn't have much time for my hobby at the western part of the bay. Beside that, during past years, entry to Japan was limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. Luckily this summer, while ending my family vacation in Asia, finally I managed to visit Japan's busiest airport.

I came to Tokyo the day before spotting session at RJTT with a Starflyer evening flight from Fukuoka. That was actually a long trip, as one night earlier I flew into Japan from Malaysia with a brief stopover in Manila, Philippines. Nevertheless, even despite a short night rest in the hotel near the airport, I managed to get up early enough to catch a few Japanese beauties during several hours spent on T1's and T2's observation decks. Traffic at T1 is predominated by JAL and its subsidiaries, while T2 is served mainly by ANA. As late in the afternoon I was supposed to meet one of my colleagues in the town of Narita, I could only spare ca. five hours for my first visit at RJTT. Because of that I focused mainly on the local traffic and luckily, apart from variety of Japan's main carriers' aircraft, I was happy to catch also Air Do, JTA Skymark and Starflyer planes.

Frankly speaking, I have to admit that this visit gave me a just bit of taste what a spotter can expect at RJTT. Therefore, I'll do my best to return to this airport one day - hopefully in the near future.
