Last November I had a chance to visit Las Vegas for a couple of days. As the weather was quite good– I mean it wasn’t neither too cold nor too hot and the sun was shining for most of the time, I managed to spend few hours spotting around Harry Reid International Airport (KLAS/LAS). Due to lack of time, I didn’t go to other airports where traffic is predominated by bizjets, as I’d rather stick to bigger planes.

Most of the time I spent at the eastern part of Sunset Blvd near La Quinta Hotel at the spot that allowed for nice shots of everything that lands at RWY 26L. As on the next day I was departing with United service to Newark, I arrived at the airport a bit earlier to catch some birds at terminal 3 (D gates).

As you may judge from photos published below, the traffic included mainly US domestic air carriers. However, I was lucky enough to catch some Canadian and Mexican planes, while my favorite catch was WestJet Boeing 737-800 in “Frozen” movie livery. I also got two “new” carriers in my collection – JetSuiteX and Breeze Airways. Unfortunately, well-known “Janett” B737s and Las Vegas Sands Corporation B747SP were not really active on that day, which means that I have a good reason to come back to KLAS in the near future to extend my photo collection.
