My last trip in 2022 took me to Catalunya, where me and my family decided to spend the break between Christmas and New Year. For the first two days we stayed in Barcelona to enjoy unique atmosphere of the city. Afterwards we rented a car and drove southbound to Tarragona. It was a great escape from winter in Eastern Europe, as the temperature at the Mediterranean coast oscillated between 15 and 20 degrees Centigrade. Apart from sightseeing we also tried our luck in finding caches in our latest hobby – Geocaching.
Obviously, I wouldn’t be myself, if taking advantage of the nice weather, I wouldn’t go for plane spotting at Barcelona’s main airport named after Josep Tarradellas (LEBL/BCN). Even thought, I didn’t have much time to go to Sabadell airport (LELL/QSA), while at that time of year Reus airport (LERS/REU) wasn’t particularly busy, two hours spent at the observation platform by RWY 25R, resulted in numerous photos of airliners – predominated by Airbus A320 family. My personal “catch of the day” was EgyptAir Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, but I was also lucky to catch several planes in special liveries. Feel free to check out a few of the shots as published below.
